Itinerant Service

This is an initiative between Kaka Street Special School and Group Special Education to assist ORS funded children in the mainstream.

The ORS funded child attends his/her regular school and is involved in normal classroom activities.

The Specialist Teacher Outreach Service (STOS) role is:-

• To support and advise classroom teachers

• To support and upskill Teacher Aides

• To provide and access resources

• To provide direct teaching and support the student

• To liaise with  GSE staff, parents and other professionals

Specialist Support staff: physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists are accessed through Group Special Education.
